issue #9 - the one about women, success, and the grind
It was the longest, shortest week.
The days dragged on, but before I blinked it was Friday evening and I was sharing my weekly facial routine on Girls’ Night In’s IG story and falling asleep on the couch while Star Trek played on TV.
Needless to say, I’m glad it’s Saturday. My only plans - hang out with my family, read as much of this book as I can, and figure out some sort of craft project for Rho’s class on Monday to celebrate his birthday (ideas are welcome! He loves dinosaurs and animals).
#ThingsILove This Week
I’ve been doing live meditations on the Journey Meditation app this week, and I’m HOOKED. Use code hitha to try it out yourself.
These dresses remind me of Busy Phillips Mr. NIghtgown - for an absolute steal. Credit goes to @thebuyguide for recommending them!
Most asked-about item from my IG Story - this root touch up powder from Madison Reed. I’ve tried every root touch up product out there, and this one is the best.
We buy these noodles in bulk off Amazon - they’re all I want to eat these days, particularly as a late dinner/snack after a long day.
Books I’m reading/read:
Finished Lost Roses - I give it a 7/10. Slow to start, picks up especially in the last 1/3rd.
After seeing Harry Potter And The Cursed Child last weekend, I’ve started re-reading the entire series backwards. I finished The Deathly Hallows, and am making my way through the Half-Blood Prince.
I flew through So Here’s The Thing, by Alyssa Mastromonaco. Loved every word of it, was sad when it was over, and want to be friends with her in real life.
Unmarriagable is my book for the weekend. It’s billed as Pride and Prejudice in Pakistan, which I’m all about.
